Selena Gomez - an international singer and actress - is known as a household name. The Disney film Wizards of Waverly Place, one of the largest projects in which she participated and which has had the highest popularity, is her work. Selena Marie Gomez, her full title is. She was born on July 22, 1992, on the 22nd of July in Grand Prairie Texas. Parents are Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez. Her mother Amanda Cornett was just 16 years old at the time Selena was conceived. Selena got her first acting job as a showbiz actress at the age of 9 when she played Gianna in Barney and her Friends. She was among numerous children who played with Barney, the infamous anthropomorphic pink dinosaur. Selena played a role in several episodes for seasons 7 & 8 between 2001 and 2003. Selena wasn't the only one to sing in Barney And His Friends and Demi was also a part of the show at the time. Selena Gomez, after she quit the show, was unsuccessful in auditions for movies and television shows. She got a small role in the 2003 movie Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over) and a different one as Julie on Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire. Additionally, in 2006 she played Emily Grace Garcia on the Brain Zapped television program. In this role, she created a song.
